Gasthaus zur Schmiede in Ranis

The food is definitely great, first of all! Every Sunday there are 2 different types of roast with Thuringian dumplings, which is why we went there too. The smithy is a small, cozy, rustic restaurant that we liked very much and shouldn't change! This is far too rare today. By the way, there was even a delicious dessert with the meal. The restaurant was very busy, which is always a good sign. We will be back definitely!

You have to experience the smithy in Ranis Hubert the landlord is unique. He continues the tradition of his family business in the interests of his parents and grandparents. Ambience and sanitary facilities are top. Food and drinks are simple but rich and good. His angle festival is now a highlight.

Nice restaurant with a great flair. If you like it a little more rustic, this is the right place for you. 👍 In summer, the covered courtyard is ideal for celebrations. Here you can also find unusual items on the menu, as well as simple home cooking. So the food is based on the ambience. And if you want to know something about Ranis, the host can answer any question. 😊

As a guest, you and the dog are thrown out loud by the landlord, the maximum seat was offered to us on the terrace with reluctance during thunderstorms and rain .... terrifying🤔🙈🙉🙊

We only had a drink here because the menu didn't suit us. And we didn't find anything for the kids either. The ambience wasn't that great for us. Probably more of a restaurant for the village community to meet for a beer.
